Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the result of the original K-D test and the modified K-D test with the magnification of the stimulus for measuring of the saccadic eye movement in the low vision clients.
Methods: The original K-D test was used application for iPad, and the modified K-D test was used Microsoft PowerPoint with PC. Thirty one student participated in the test, and they are all enrolled in D University and voluntarily participated in this study.
Result: Analysis of the data show that the sum of the time for reading the numerical stimuli of the original K-D test was 40.0 ¡¾ 5.8(sec) and the results of the modified K-D were 35.6 ¡¾ 5.7(sec) at 24 pt and was 33.6 ¡¾ 5.7 at 24 pt. There was a significant difference between the original test and the modified K-D test(p <.05).
Conclusion: The results suggest that the use of the K-D test in low vision clients should be interpreted with caution in comparison with standardized data because the results of the modified K-D test may be shorter than that of the original test. And the magnitude of the stimulation can be used in accordance with the patient.
